Privacy Policy
This policy sets out what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we pass it to, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.
Last updated: July 27, 2026
YAYITA ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at evergreensandsmanor.site, an independent review publication that also transfers reservation requests to a third-party reservation partner. This policy should be read together with our Cookie Policy and How We Make Money. To manage your choices in one place, see Your Privacy Choices.
Who is responsible for your information. The data controller (and, for Quebec residents, the enterprise responsible for the information) is YAYITA, company number 881055503, registered at 58 RUE MONTORGUEIL PARIS 75002. The person accountable for privacy can be reached at [email protected].
1. The one thing to know before you use the reservation form
If you submit a reservation request, we transfer the details you enter to a third party — an independent third-party reservation-services company ("the reservation partner") — so that its reservations team can contact you and arrange a booking. We are paid a referral fee for that transfer. The partner is an independent business that will use your information under its own privacy policy, and it may be located outside your province and outside Canada. If you prefer not your details shared on that basis, please refrain from submitting the form — you may contact any property directly through its own website or usual contact channels.
2. Information we collect
- Reservation request details. First and last name, telephone number, email address, the property you selected, and any notes you add.
- Request context. The page you submitted from, the date and time, the referring page and any campaign parameters in the URL, your IP address and a record of the consent you gave. We keep this to evidence consent and to detect abusive or automated submissions.
- Feedback and correspondence. If you contact us or use a feedback form, we receive the message, the topic and any contact details you provide.
- Newsletter sign-up. Where offered: your email address and a record of your opt-in.
- Technical and usage data. Browser type, device, operating system, approximate region, pages viewed and interactions, gathered through cookies and similar technologies where you permit them. See our Cookie Policy.
We neither ask for nor want payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information or any other sensitive category of data. Please avoid include such information in free-text fields.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
| Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|
| Transferring your reservation request to the reservation partner so it can contact you | Your consent, given at the point of submission (and, where the EU/UK GDPR applies, consent under Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Responding to your feedback, questions and rights requests | Consent / performance of your request; legal obligation for rights requests |
| Sending you a newsletter or marketing email | Your express opt-in consent (CASL; GDPR consent) |
| Operating, securing and debugging the site; preventing spam, fraud and automated abuse | Our legitimate interests / reasonable purposes under PIPEDA |
| Measuring traffic and understanding how the site is used | Your consent for analytics cookies |
| Keeping records of consent, correspondence and referrals | Legal obligation and legitimate interest in demonstrating compliance |
| Complying with law and responding to lawful requests | Legal obligation |
You may withdraw consent at any moment — refer to section 8. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, and cannot recall information already transferred to the reservation partner; for that, you should also contact the partner directly, and we will tell you who it is and how to reach it.
4. Who we disclose your information to
- The reservation partner. The details in your reservation request, and the property you selected, so it can contact you. This is the disclosure that matters most of all, and it is the basis on which we are paid.
- Service providers acting on our instructions. Website and form hosting, email delivery, spam filtering, error logging and analytics providers. They may process your information only for us and only as instructed.
- Advertising and measurement providers, where you have consented to marketing cookies — see our Cookie Policy.
- Professional advisers, auditors, and successors in connection with a corporate transaction, under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities, where disclosure is required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We are paid for the referral of a reservation request, not for the sale of data as such; we describe it here so you may judge it for yourself. Some U.S. state laws define "sale" or "sharing" broadly enough to cover advertising identifiers or referral arrangements — if you are in one of those states you may opt out at any moment through Your Privacy Choices. We do not knowingly disclose personal information of anyone under the age of majority.
5. Where your information is stored and transferred
Reservation requests and feedback are transmitted to our servers and stored with our hosting provider. Our service providers and the reservation partner may be located in other countries. Your information may as a result be transferred to, stored in and accessed from jurisdictions whose data-protection and law-enforcement-access rules differ from those where you live. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including contractual protections and, for EEA/UK transfers, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Quebec residents: transfers outside Quebec are made only after an assessment of the privacy protections available in the receiving jurisdiction, and you may ask us for a summary of that assessment.
6. How long we keep it
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Reservation request details | Up to 24 months from submission, then deleted or irreversibly anonymised |
| Consent records (including CASL evidence of opt-in) | 3 years from the date consent was given or withdrawn |
| Feedback and support correspondence | Up to 24 months after the matter is closed |
| Newsletter subscription | Until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record kept indefinitely so we do not contact you again |
| Server and security logs | Up to 12 months |
After transfer, your information is retained by the reservation partner under its own retention policy, which sits outside our control.
7. Security
Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection (TLS). Access to stored requests is limited to the people who need it, protected by individual accounts and multi-factor authentication where available. No system is perfectly secure in practice; if a breach occurs that presents a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant regulators as required by PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25 and, where applicable, the GDPR.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your place of residence, you may have the right to:
- be told whether we hold information about you, and receive a copy of it;
- have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
- have information deleted, and to object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any moment, including consent to be contacted and consent to cookies;
- receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format (data portability — including under Quebec's Law 25);
- ask us to stop disseminating information or to de-index it where the law provides for that;
- opt out of targeted advertising and of the sale or sharing of personal information;
- be told whether a decision about you was made solely by automated means. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
- not be treated less favourably for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any right, email [email protected] or use Your Privacy Choices. We may need to confirm your identity, and we will use anything you send for that purpose only. We endeavour to respond within 30 days (PIPEDA and Law 25), or within the period set by your local law.
Complaints. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; Quebec residents may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec; residents of the EEA or UK may complain to their local data protection authority. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.
9. Marketing messages
We send commercial email only where you have given express consent, and every such message identifies us and carries a working unsubscribe link that we honour within 10 business days, as CASL requires of us. Messages that relate to a request you actually made — for example acknowledging your reservation request — are service messages, not marketing.
10. Cookies and tracking
Non-essential cookies are refused by default and are used only if you permit them. We operate Google Consent Mode with a deny-by-default configuration, and we honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal. Full particulars, including categories and durations, is in our Cookie Policy.
11. Not affiliated with the properties we review
YAYITA is an independent editorial publication. We are not a hotel, casino, booking agency or travel agent, and we are not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by the properties or booking platforms we write about. Names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and editorial purposes only.
12. Age restriction
This site covers venues that include licensed gaming facilities and is intended only for adults who have reached the age of majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information — in particular if we change who we transfer reservation requests to — we will update this policy, change the "last updated" date, and give more prominent notice where the change is material.
